Oct. 1. Showa 48: President Kunihiko Miwa produced the movie “Mystery of pearl”.
Branch store Meitetsu M'za(currently renamed as Meitetsu Marukosi Department Store[Meitetsu M'za] in Kanazawa) established in Kanazawa Meitetsu Marukoshi.

Showa 53: Tadashi Fujita prized international diamond award held by De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd and became a member of international academy.

Apr. showa 61: Took participate in a Flower Festival sponsored by Toyama prefecture and decorate Miyuki street with tulip.
May.: Started selling Miwa pearl necklace on ANA(All Nippon Airways) flights in celebration of launching regular flight between Japan and Guam.
